Advised a US multinational producer of consumer electronics to overcome an attempted exercise of the Weapons of Mass Destruction (Prevention of Proliferation) Act 1995 against certain calibration equipment, which affected their exports.
We coordinated the response to Defence Export Controls (DEC), highlighting our client’s due diligence in export controls, as well as the nature of the goods. This resulted in DEC agreeing to the release of the consignment for export.
