Moulis Legal announced today that it has named Christopher Hewitt as a partner within the firm.
Moulis Legal principal partner, Daniel Moulis, said that Christopher brings substantial experience and leadership in delivering solutions for businesses operating in highly competitive commercial environments.
A specific part of Christopher’s practice involves the representation of our Australian and international clients in their energy and resources projects, both here and in overseas markets. Investors and operators from China, South-East Asia and the Asian sub-continent are becoming increasingly active. Christopher and his growing team cover all project stages, from inception through to realisation, including investment, financing, exploration, commercialisation, production and trade.
Christopher has also been advising downstream petroleum businesses in sales, distribution, storage and terminaling, transport and international transactions.
Dynamic changes in regional markets caused by regulatory change, scale, technology and currency movements have created significant shifts in competition. Christopher’s team service the companies that are exploiting those opportunities.
Christopher also advises overseas clients on in-bound investment and Australians going out-bound to China, South East Asia and Africa in other business and industrial fields.
Hewitt commented:
Now is a time of great opportunity and challenge in Australia and Asia. The energy and resources sectors are undergoing significant transformation, with both new and established businesses looking to capitalise on changing markets. Investors need to think creatively about business models and risk management. Our team of experienced and business-focused legal advisors is dedicated to the success of our clients in the region.
