Moulis Legal is excited to announce a legal first for Australia. On the back of our work with a number of trailblazing blockchain projects, our technology law team has embraced distributed-ledger technology and is offering our legal services in the form of non-fungible tokens (NFTs).
The result is an innovative collection of NFTs which combine cutting-edge technology with state-of-the-art legal expertise and some nifty artwork. Each NFT has been minted on the Polygon network (to reduce its economic and environmental impact) and can be redeemed for an hour’s consultation with one of our specialist lawyers. The NFTs are available via the OpenSea marketplace and full details can be found here.
Special counsel Graeme Fearon comments:
Although blockchain has been around for more than a decade, it has only really started to find widespread acceptance in the last few years. It’s a really exciting space to be working in. There is so much more to it than just bitcoin and cryptocurrencies. New use-cases are being developed all the time across a staggering range of industry sectors and this will only increase as the technology matures.
We are at the forefront of harnessing blockchain’s huge potential and we are delighted to have taken this small but significant step.
Graeme has been supercharging Moulis Legal’s IP and technology capability through his strong experience in intellectual property, data and privacy, and technology.
Over his 25 years of legal practice, Graeme has helped major corporations operating across Europe, Australia and internationally to manage their global licensing rights, data protection compliance, and information technology contracting requirements. Graeme’s current focus is on the integration and regulation of blockchain technologies in industry.
Commenting on being the first law firm in Australia to adopt this concept, chief executive Suzanne Moulis says:
It is exciting to be able to showcase Moulis Legal’s technical expertise in such an innovative way. This perfectly encapsulates our philosophy of engaging with our clients in cutting-edge commercial and international matters.
