The role

  • You will provide legal advice and representation to Moulis Legal and dispute resolution clients, with supervision from Partner & Head of Brisbane Office, Emily Jennings. The role includes a variety of legal tasks including but not limited to:
  • drafting and advising on a wide range of commercial agreements including government procurement contracts;
  • drafting and filing Court documents including statements of claim, applications, and affidavits, and orders in various state Courts and the Federal Court of Australia;
  • monitoring and reporting on relevant Court proceedings;
  • assisting with drafting client communications and attending client meetings; and
  • assisting with creating marketing content and other business development activities.

About you

We are looking for a lawyer with:

  • 0-2 years post admission experience
  • demonstrated experience within a commercial law environment especially in any of the following areas: commercial law, government procurement and dispute resolution
  • genuine passion for the law together with excellent technical and interpersonal skills
  • an understanding of commercial acumen
  • a client focused outlook and a desire to work in a collaborate environment
  • a commitment to learning new skills and taking on new experiences as an early career lawyer

Additional foreign language skills (in particular, Asian languages) are encouraged but not essential.
