Senior commercial property lawyer (based in Canberra)

Moulis Legal is seeking expressions of interest from senior commercial property lawyers with a desire to join a leading boutique practice. This new position will provide leadership in our growing property team and would suit someone confident in commercial property legal strategy, transactions and disputes. Located in our Canberra office at Brindabella Business Park, you will report to the firm’s founding partner and work in a senior client-facing role.

The role

Our property team services national level organisations in the acquisition, divestment and operation of landmark assets. We advise owners, financiers and major tenants in property development, planning, investment, and leasing in a commercial and proactive manner. Our list of recent projects includes the financing of Australia’s largest residential and related mixed-use developments, data centre acquisitions and town centre revitalisation projects.

Key responsibilities include advising on infrastructure and property development projects, managing complex commercial acquisition and divestment matters, advising on commercial leasing transactions, providing general commercial and contract advice to property sector clients, foreign investment approvals and advising on asset securitisation. 

About you

We are looking for a lawyer with:

  • 5 plus years post admission experience
  • demonstrated experience within a commercial property law environment
  • demonstrated passion for the law together with excellent technical and interpersonal skills
  • demonstrated client knowledge and empathy
  • a client focused outlook and a desire to work in a collaborative environment
